REDEEMING THE TIME
Time is one of the most valuable commodities that we have. It is more valuable than money. You can make more money but you can’t make more time. This is what a prominent world leader has to say about time on her death bed, “I will give my entire kingdom for just more time”. – Queen Elizabeth.
Every day you wake up, God gives you a present, it is called TODAY. With this gift, it comes with responsibilities to redeem it (make good use of it). Things may not be good as you dream. You may have some obstacles. You may not go to college but one thing in certain, YOU CAN NEVER GET THIS DAY BACK (TODAY).
Most of us don’t realize that each day is a gift and that is why we live each day unintentional. Each time you waste, is a percentage of life wasted. This means, you either invest it or you waste it. It is not until you have millions in your account that makes you happy. Each day is so precious that it presents you with TIME for you to create the opportunities you desire. The sad news is, at the end of each day, what you did not value, you eventually loose it.
Every day, God gives each of us EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED SECONDS (86,400), you can spend it as you like. You can also invest it positively in being hopeful, pursuing your goals, living your dreams, being a blessing to others, going to college or you can choose to waste it and let the daily gift slip away by being disorganized, unhappy, negative, discouraged, disappointed. The truth is, the principle is the same because at the end of the day, you will give account of how and what you did with your EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED SECONDS and you can never get it back.
When we fully understand the value of our TIME and we see each day as the gift that it is, it helps us to keep off wrong prospective. We realize there are some battles that are not worth fighting. You don’t have time to get into things that are between you and your God-given destiny.
When you have a problem with somebody and you have done your best to settle it and they seem not to play along, with all due respect, that is not your problem anymore, it becomes theirs. You don’t have to resolve conflict with every person because some people do not want to be at peace with you. They are just there to distract you.
When you realize your time is limited, you don’t respond to every critic. You don’t waste your time trying to convince people to like you because they are never going to like you. You need to accept the fact that not everyone is going to understand you, not everyone is going to give you their time but that’s ok, you just need to keep moving.
When you are redeeming your time, you’re not trying to make someone happy that’s never going to be happy. There are people that no matter what you do for them, it’s not going to be enough. No matter how many times you risk for them, no matter how many favors you do, sooner or later, they are going to find faults with you and they end up being unhappy. Understand their happiness is not necessarily your responsibility. You should be kind, be respectful but it is not mandatory to make them happy.
Your time is too precious for you to waste it on people who will not value it for you. Remember, you have EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED SECONDS as a gift on daily basis. What you do with it is in your hands.
